Future Forward is a 20-lesson course comprising five chapters that guide participants through the topics of perception of time, futures mindset, multiple futures, investing in imaginations and taking action.
Each lesson includes a video, a quiz, additional information/sources and an exchange opportunity with other participants.
How can we equip ourselves with the tools and skills needed to navigate the unknown? This is where futures literacy comes into play.
While no-one can truly predict the future, by integrating future thinking into education, we acquire tools to anticipate and navigate the complexities of an uncertain world – fostering innovation, adaptability and resilience in line with the goals of the European Year of Skills.
European Commission’s webinar on School Segregation: Fighting school segregation at a local level: strategies and policies – 17 July 2023 at 16:00
Globalization is transforming the urban space in world’s cities.
European cities are not an exception and are suffering a deep transformation in the physical and social characteristics of their neighbourhoods and districts.
Increasing economic inequalities impact on higher polarization of social groups based on their socioeconomic condition or ethnic origin.
School segregation is an undesired outcome of these negative trends.
In a context of growing urban fragmentation and increasing presence of vulnerable and migrant children in schools, some educational policies have favoured the social segmentation of schools in many European cities.
This webinar will reflect on the challenges that European cities face in a context of increasing fragmentation and polarization and will present the main outcomes of the European Cities Against School Segregation (ECASS) Project.
ECASS has been designed a collaborative strategy to plan new education policies in European cities to tackle school segregation. Researchers and policymakers have worked together combining theoretical and methodological tools with knowledge and experience of the local realities.
In this presentation we will review key strategies and policies that can be developed to build a more inclusive education.
