This webinar will introduce you to the European Climate Pact, an initiative of the European Commission.
The Pact activities, digital tools and other resources are freely available to support you in teaching about climate change, engaging your students in climate action and developing skills for civic participation and community engagement.
The presentation is adjusted to the school context, while everal digital tools will be used to enable active participation during the webinar and to enhance your learning experience.
Ana Leandro
Ana Leandro’s academic and initial professional background is Environmental Engineering. For more than eight years, Ana supported the development of municipal sustainable energy action plans and low emission development strategies, during which she developed physical and digital resources to support awareness raising and learning. She also facilitated numerous training workshops for diverse target-groups, including teachers, students and technical staff. In the last five years, Ana supported the European Commission in the evaluation of innovation and coordination proposals in the fields of environment and energy and supported several UN agencies in the implementation and management of international multi-stakeholder initiatives connecting technical and scientific knowledge with planning and other public decision-making processes. Since June 2023, Ana supports the European Climate Pact secretariat in the development of processes and resources for citizen participation in climate action.
